Summer school was invented by Hitler's shoulder devil
I come with with explanations.
You see, after I had posted saying HEYGUYSILOVEYOULETMECOMEBACKANDPOOOOOOOOOST I had a slight falling out with my parents. I'll spare you the details because I'm sure you really don't want to know and because I'm lazy, but just know that they went a little...completely insane extreme.
Long story short, I got grounded from the internet. Wooooo isn't that fun?
Now I have been freed from my sentence of productivity and finding creative ways to procrastinate. I was actually freed about two months ago, but that brings me to my next point.
Summer School. Duh Duh Duuuuuuuuhhhhhh.
No, I didn't fail a grade or anything like that, but my mother is extremely into academia, so I'm taking college courses to boost my... intelligence I guess.
I just misspelled intelligence the first four times I tried. I suppose we can all see how well that is working out.
I'm taking French 101 right now, and lemme tell ya that has been an adventure. I'm dyslexic, so my mother language has been interesting to understand at times. Let's add another one! That's a great idea!
Plus I got a job. Woo go me. It's actually doing html, css, and javascript coding, so that's exciting. It's not that I dislike the work exactly, but I am chronically lazy and my summer has been packed.
I've had the equivalent of a nine-to-five because of my class and work schedules, plus a crapton of homework every night. Plus crazy mother demanding A's out of a college class. I haven't had much down time.
This has taught me two very important lessons.
One, I cannot handle a nine-to-five. I hate to be overly cliche here, but I'm more of a free spirit type. I can work extremely hard, but if I don't have variety in the subject of my intensity, I tend to go a little bit mad. And expect blood if you take away my opportunity for creative expression.
Two, never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever take classes over the summer semester ever. They are the devil. If you have a 4 credit class, which would cover a decent amount of material every week in a normal semester, and you put it in a semester with half the time, you will want to kill yourself. You not try to convince yourself that you can fit more classes into a year that way. You will only rain misery down upon yourself.
So I guess the reason I'm here is to say I quite like blogging. I'm one of those people who attempts to compensate for my lack of physical attractiveness with a witty sense of humor, so it's a match made in heaven. I make no promises about posting regularly because see Image C, but I have a desire to say screw you world I'm going to do what I want.

Why Leap Year might ruin my life
Yeah. I just used a picture of 101 Dalmatians for my 101st post. Because I'm original and stuff.
Crap now I have the need to actually be original for my 101st post. Hmm. Maybe I'll draw you a picture later or something.
Annnnnd on to other topics.
So I've decided that I have three primary personalities. There is the "I will do everything before noon and then save the world from cancer with my 5.0 on the 4.0 GPA system!" personality.
Then there is the "I will express myself through all the art mediums ever thought of and I can play guitar and have really cool discussions about life and who needs arbitrary grading systems?" personality. And finally, I have the "blinking is hard work. Why don't I just sit lay melt into a puddle of failure on the couch for a few more days" personality.
That last one seems to be taking over my life lately, which is why I'm blogging about it. So I can feel less guilty about the fact that I saw a movie yesterday and did no homework even though it is threatening to eat me alive at this point.
| Kind of like this, only it would look more like a shark made out of homework and you'd be crying because you're actively being eating alive. |
I seem to be stuck in a "personality three" rut, with slight variations involving wanting to cut my hair because in theory changing my appearance will force change into my gelatinous form, and being seriously tempted to eat an entire 6 dozen batch of cookie dough in one sitting.
Which brings us to my new theory about life. It seems to me that everyone has a stupid month. It's that one time of year when everything feels like crap and you want to do something drastic to change your boring life, but nothing cool is happening and it's all boring, so what's the point? Then you lay on your couch wondering why you have no self control after you eat another piece of cheesecake.
It doesn't always have to be the same month every year, but it usually is. Regardless, everyone hits that crappy phase of the year when you have no motivation and the tiniest of grievances sends you into a downward spiral of sadness and unmotivated sulking. February is definitely my month of suck.
And it's laaaaaaaame.
In light of this, I am going to assemble a list of awesome things that I must complete everyday before I set my nose to the grindstone of sharks made out of homework.
Yay lists! (Personality #1 is pleased with lists)
Today: I am going to draw a picture of me punching a bear and post it on the internet because I can.
Tomorrow: Clean out my iTunes.
Tomorrow part 2: The first one sounds kind of like work to my sludge brain so I'm also going to eat a honey and banana sammich.
Friday: Find a new song on YouTube to loop until someone stabs me for making their ears bleed.
Saturday: Watch Phineas and Ferb
Sunday: Finally put my dinosaur computer to rest. Yes brain, I know this sounds like work, but it will make you feel better. I promise.
Fiiiiine you can also watch three random YouTube videos.
Monday: Go to bed before midnight.
Tuesday: Make cookies and don't over cook them.
Poop! This year is leap year too. Why must I live through another day of crappy month? (I just said poop in a post. Classy, very classy.)
Wednesday: Buy a jar of nutella and proceed to eat with spoon. I know you're broke, but this last day of February caught you by surprise, but you lived like a freaking champ.
Well that's that. Updates here as I embark on this quest of not sucking.
What are your guilty pleasures that you use to cope with suckiness?

Happy 100th post to all you spambots clogging my inbox with comment notifications
So. Hi. *awkward wave*
I just logged in for the first time and months. And guys, I got 12 page views yesterday. I haven't blogged in a flipping year. I am so confused right now. Do people on the internet just not have lives and check back just in case I've actually posted something. Even though it's been a flipping year?!And I am not being hypocritical in this at all. Not one bit. I do not spend hours of my life on Tumblr. Or Pinterest. What?
Well I have been getting notifications of spam comments, so maybe it's from that. Probably. People are cooler than me and wouldn't stalk my long dead blog.
Huh. Well in that case, gather round my wonderful spambots, I am about to continue my usual rambling.
The reason I have decided to make a post, even though the shame of not blogging for a year is nearly intolerable, is because when I logged back into today out of sheer boredom and curiosity, I noticed that I had 99 posts.
Are you kidding me?
I couldn't have blogged once more and made it an even hundred. If any of my real people followers ever stumble across this post, I'm sure you've noticed I'm quite OCD and the fact that I only had 99 post would haunt me through the eternities. 99. One of the worst numbers ever. It has all the enormity of 100, without the guts to just finish.
Ahem, as per usual I have no idea what I'm talking about at this point.
The other reason I am blogging today is because as the highly responsible, totally not impulsive (and not sarcastic at all) person that I am, I have decided that I want to try blogging again.
So am I going to get cheers, an indifferent silence, or several handful of rotten tomatoes and other projectiles that are past their expiration dates to accompany the boos and hisses that I deserve after being gone an entire year? It's okay, I'll understand if I shall ever be a laughing stock in the blogging community.
And if I don't get laughed out, thoughts on perhaps moving to a new blog. Ya know, new start and all. I'd still keep this one around so you could all still read the old posts and stuff. Plus dorksideoftheforcewas from forever ago and I want to come up with something new and equally childish is slightly juvenile.
Well this has been a delightfully boring post. There is no way I'm not going to get laughed out.
EDIT: How in the name of all that is holy DID I GAIN FOLLOWERS?!?! Why? I never understood why I gained followers when I actually blogged. I... I love you people.

Commencing Nonsense Transmission
WARNING: the following post will probably have no logical point to it.
Today I got a 5 hour nap. Isn't that just fantastic? Well, it's fantastic until it's 2 in the morning and you're not even remotely tired. Which is why I'm up writing a probably pretty random confusing blog post.
First off, pretty sure most of you are sitting on the edges of your seats wondering how call-backs for Les Miserables went (well, I can pretend people in the Internet care that much about my life when most of you are probably just waiting for me to inevitably [ha totally spelled that right on the first try] say something stupid to make you laugh like I always do)
I have mixed feelings about call-backs. For one, that day I ended up completely losing my voice and felt like I sounded pretty retarded at auditions. But on the other hand I learned today that I made it into ensemble (which is what I was going for), so I must not have sounded all that bad.
But lemme tell ya, the wait after auditions is soooo much more nerve racking than the auditions themselves. Because you have to sit there for days on end, torturing yourself with high hopes and an almost positive knowledge that you failed miserably. It's quite awful, but yet we theatre people seem to enjoy it for some reason. Now how does that work exactly? Don't ask me. I was never one to understand the way my own brain worked.
So yeah, practices should start this week. Super excited to be involved in a play instead if just watching my friends do it. I'm not sure what it is, but I just love being on the stage. It's my favorite place in the whole school. Something about being there puts my mind at ease, and I'm thrilled to finally feel like I actually belong there.
In other news, breaks have an odd effect on my creativity. You'd think I'd go crazy with all the things I want to do, but no, for some reason all the energy just leaves me and I spend the entire time sitting on my butt eating chocolate and watching episodes of Castle (fantastic TV show btw).
So this week I've gotten just about nothing done whatsoever, and I'm perfectly okay with that for once in my life. I've been running on close to nothing in my tank since before Christmas and i think I deserved a week to do nothing but probably gain some weight and anxiously wait for the cast list to be posted.
How was your week? Were you actually productive unlike a certain someone who should not be allowed to blog after midnight?

Les Miserables
Well first off I hope you noticed the shiny new template. Isn't it so bright and shiny and just begging for some Spring weather? I thought so. Which just figures, because outside is currently in a rather awful blizzard sort of state. I personally think it shouldn't be allowed to snow after February, but since when did anyone listen to my opinion on these things?
Ah well, today is still a rather fantastic day. In the first place, I got a very nice sweater from my best friend that is very warm. Secondly, I'm just about to make some tea.
*Puts the tea pot on to boil*
And now that I have that taken care of, thirdly, I made call-backs for the Les Miserables audition!
Waiting for my turn in the hallway, as they were closed auditions, was hilarious. There were about 50ish people waiting to try out, all nervous in some degree. A lot of people were practicing their audition songs, some were trying and failing at not freaking out, and most were acting extremely hyper and retarded (and I mean that as a good thing) to burn off energy. I just love theatre. It's always such a crazy party.
The audition itself went pretty well. Our duet went very smoothly. We remembered to project and managed to get the right note at the end, which is the one we kept messing up. The director asked us to each sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star so she could also hear our voices separately. That was hilarious, because I managed to forget the words! I mean really, who forgets the words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star? Ah well, I refuse to be too embarrassed, as it was my first audition.
We both still managed to impress her though, as we made the call-backs. Plus I learned that I can go a full octave higher than I thought I could when they tested my range. All in all a fantastic experience.
The real news shall be tomorrow afterthe final judgement day call-backs.

I think almost dying counts as a 'Get out of jail free' card
On a scale of 1 to plague, I had the plague.
Some of you may know that my life is a delicately balanced thing. I cram so many different creative things in, plus a social life, and a 4.0 GPA. Sometimes it's all I can do not to pass out half way through the day.
Well, a while ago I had a pretty big group project for one of my classes. All was well, everyone had their assignments. Ha. Haha. My previous delusions are amusing. Anyway, my group pretty much ditched me with everything at the last minute, so I had to stay up until 4:30-5:00 in the morning to finish the project by myself. Because for me, no amount of sleep is worth my 4.0. A little obsessive? Perhaps, but that's me for you.
Unfortunately getting about an hour of sleep puts your immune system on shut down mode. And just about everyone of my friends had some sort of illness. The result? I caught them all. Yes, I had a fever, aches, a huge migraine, chills, a stuffed up nose, a nasty sore throat, and probably a few other things I've forgotten. AND on top of all of this, for several reasons I practically refuse to take meds for just about anything. So I literally felt like I was going to die before I broke down and took some IBProfen.
Remember my delicately balanced life I mentioned earlier? Well that was like dropping an elephant, a school bus, and a nuclear bomb on one side of my scale. It's taken some serious scrambling and sheer luck to get on top of things again without totally losing what little sanity I've been saving up for just such an occasion.
Yeah, this made it really hard to do anything fun for a long while. But hey, I still have a 4.0 and I managed not to blow up at any of my friends from the stress, so I'll count my blessings here.
But now I'm finally over all that! I've been sewing, I'm going to the Dancesport Nationals next week, and I'm trying out for Les Miserables tomorrow. So I'm getting even more busy with fun stuff! Wish me luck! I'll be sure to share how the tryouts go, because they should be freaking awesome (I get to sing "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan as duet with my best friend :D)
In other news, I've had pizza just about everyday this week, and I'm still losing weight. That ladies and gents, takes some freaking talent. Yeah... don't ask where I was going with that....

The cone of shame
You'll have to excuse the quality of this post. I'm quite out of practice. Well, either that or I'm just crazy, but either way you have my apologies.
Well, there I was. Going about my daily life when one of my great bloggy friends stopped by this forgotten wasteland of a blog that was once awesome to remind me that it had in fact been three entire months since I had posted. Three entire months! The shame of it!
Well, there I was. Going about my daily life when one of my great bloggy friends stopped by this forgotten wasteland of a blog that was once awesome to remind me that it had in fact been three entire months since I had posted. Three entire months! The shame of it!
You see, back in October or so I had a really crazy stretch of insanity and stress, so I decided that unfortunately blogging had to go on the back burner for a least a little while. One crazy week lead to another stress-filled one, and soon enough blogging went into that part of the brain where your new years resolutions go a few weeks into February.
But thanks to Pixie Needle I'm back to rule the blogosphere once again!
Now, I'm not going to give a complete or coherent summery of what I've been doing over the last three months, because it would take forever, and if you've been following this blog for any amount of time you'll know I can't manage to be coherent very often. I'll probably give some updates on say my sewing ventures of the past few months (the sad few) but not on the general craziness of life.
Also, I'm probably going to stick to posting on the weekends for now, because life is still crazy and I can't guarantee I'll be able to post more than that.
And I'm pretty sure this place needs an overhaul, cause it's quite dusty around here and it's almost time for Spring cleaning anyway (well, not really. But I keep telling myself that if I hope for Spring enough it'll come earlier)
On another note, I apologize for being a bad follower, but there is no way I'm getting caught up on everything I missed in the past three months. That would be absolute madness, and I like to save my madness for special occasions. And 3 a.m. And whenever else I feel like it. Which is not this time.
And now for you viewing pleasure, a visual representation of how I feel about ditching for three months.

In which I report on things and decide to prioritize my priorities
Instead of doing the cleaning that I really should be doing, I just read over my BFS list (for those of you who are new or don't remember what that is, click on the link. No seriously, you won't understand most of this post otherwise.)
It was exciting because I've actually done some stuff of the resolution part of the list (aka the icky stuff.)
I got on top of my school stuff. This is going well enough that I consider this item crossed off. Other than that, I haven't really finished anything exactly. I've improved in everything but a better sleep schedule (good sleep or good grades I suppose), but I still have a lot of work to do on these.
Now, the BFS part (aka the fun stuff) is not going so well.
Seriously, I can't honestly say that I've done anything on this list. I've read half the books I wanted to. I haven't even started my afgan or my novel (On that note, NaNo is getting alarmingly close). Etc etc.
I do feel kinda bad that I haven't gotten to these things, but I'm actually not guilt tripping myself about it like I usually do. I feel like my priorities have changed a bit during the past few months.
Actually my new priority is to prioritize. Last school year I had a lot of time on my hands, so I could just about everything I wanted to. This year is a bit different. My free time, what little I have, must be budgeted carefully.
The things on my list aren't really important any more. My new goals are to actually do the simple things. I want to crochet. I don't need to make an entire afgan this year. I just want to write. I don't need to finish a novel. I want to make time to read. I don't need to read a certain number of books.
And there you have it. My long over-due update on the BFS list.
In other news, I have a Shakira song stuck in my head on loop, and if I don't get something else instead soon, I think I will be forced to stab myself in the head with a spork.
And it was both exciting and frightening. Mostly frightening.

Remind me what I was apologizing for again?
I just spent way too much time procrastinating on some English homework I need to finish by Monday. I was reading blogs. I procrastinated so long I'm pretty sure my eyeballs could fall out any second from staring at the computer screen so long. Yes, I still mutter about why I need glasses.
Also, don't you thinkslightly really stale cinnamon rolls are the most wonderful things ever? You know as you eat them that you are having more sugary goodness than is strictly awesome for trying to lose weight without actually eating something that is really worth that sacrifice. Plus you have to try to type your blog post with one hand. Which takes a while. (Bwa ha ha ha. Time I actually have right now. Fall break FOR THE WIN!!!)
If you haven't guessed already, my brain to finger filter is not really working
But on to the point that I'm sure the title is hinting at. It's been a bit over a week since I posted last, and as I signed into blogger today, this made me feel guilty again. Not only has it been 10 whole bajillion days since I posted, it's been about 10 bazillion (which is a lot more than 10 bajillion, in case you were wondering) weeks since I've posted regularly, or about interesting things. This made me feel even more guilty, so I read other blogs instead of posting. Which is usually what happens when I post lately. I feel guilty, go read blogs, come back and write an apologetic and probably slightly boring post.
But sometime during a hilarious story about cake I decided to stop feeling bad about it. Because honestly, no matter how hilarious and awesome and inspiring and.... etc. the bloggy world can be, the 'real' world is more important. The homework that has been slightly overwhelming this year is more important. The new awesome friends I have are more important. Getting more than three hours of sleep is more important. And having time to sit for five minutes and let my brain unwind is more important. I don't think I should apologize for that any more.
I'm sure this post is incredibly enjoyable for my readers, because I just told you you aren't at the top of my priority list. But trust me, this is actually good news for you too.
I don't promise any sort of blogging schedule, cause I know I can't stick to one right now, but I do promise that no matter how long I disappear for, I'll make an awesome and worthwhile post, instead of apologizing again and again and again.
Yeah.... so with that I'm going to go eat another cinnamon roll, squint at my computer screen, and mutter things about nonsense.
Also, don't you think

Yet another ramble about blog technicalities that I'm sure everyone finds ever so interesting
Hi there! So a few things have happened since I posted last. But the most important would be the one were I FINALLY GOT ALL CAUGHT UP ON BLOGS! WOO!
No, I did not read every old post, but most of them. I am reacquainted with all the blogs I follow now, regardless of the posts I may or may not have gotten to read, and I guess that's the important part.
And another thing. Through a series of rather painful cuts, I got my blog feed from 65 down to 42, which is a lot more manageable. Plus the fact that there are 42 make my nerdy self very happy.
Also, I'm slightly idiotic sometimes. After I posted last, I was a little frustrated with my bad follower status, so I decided that before I posted again, I would get all caught up on old blog posts.
Knowing that I am a very busy person, I should have seen this coming, but I didn't.
I just didn't post for like five days, instead of making myself get caught up faster. In true Homer Simpson (actually, I don't watch that show. But I think most people 'quote' it like I do) fashion, DOH!
Well darn it. It's 11:00 now (don't trust the post time stamp. It lies. It refuses to change from Russian time. Don't ask why, I don't know). And I still have a few assignments for school to finish before tomorrow.
Monday how I loath thee.
Tomorrow I shall write the incredibly interesting post about my too-long list of hobbies and school subjects.
Peace, love, and incredibly frightening clown cookies.

Apparently naps induce more weird from me
I've decided it's a really bad idea for me to get less than four hours of sleep. Granted, I did have a nap today (which was funny all by its self), but still. It just messes with your head no matter how long your nap.
Before my nap, I was bored in one of my classes today and doodled a star on my hand. Of course, when I fell asleep it was on that hand. This caused two interesting things. One, I had a faded star stamped onto my face that is still there. And two, I positioned my arms just so that all the blood drained out, kinda like when you hang upside down for too long, but in reverse. So when I woke up an hour later, my arms felt something akin to dead fish. And yes, I did panic just a little bit and rolled over so my dead fish arms draped over my stomach in an odd way that I'm sure looked like I was paralyzed or something. Then I felt the blood come back, which felt something like I was mutating into a were-platypus.
Which somehow made me want to write a story about a platypus who wanted to be a superhero. And then I fell asleep and promptly forgot about that until now. The strangest things your remember when you start rambling about dead fish arms.
And my second piece of evidence is this (haha, that makes me sound like I'm trying to convict myself of something in court. Maybe I have split personality disorder. Or maybe I'm just weird.) Just five minutes ago I was trying to write something down. I don't even know what it was anymore, but I'm sure it was important, and I will greatly regret forgetting tomorrow.
Anyway, I was trying to write the word 'chair', but instead of writing the nice word chair, my brain decided that the random word 'machine' was much better in that sentence. Once I saw this I promptly burst out laughing, and forgot what I was writing.
And the third, and perhaps most convincing piece of evidence is that I was sitting at my brother's house mildly bored and decided this would make a great blog post.
*shakes head at self* I promise to get back into stuff like crafting, writing, actually interesting stories, and you know, if I decide to get really crazy, I might do some actual worth while content or something.
Until then though I'm just trying to get back into the habit of blogging regularly. Also, I will always have really weird and random posts, but I hope to intersperse them with something a little less insane. Well, maybe not less insane exactly, but a type of insane someone won't send me to the asylum for.

Well, maybe not less insane exactly, but a type of insane someone won't send me to the asylum for.
That one post where I just started typing and something rather odd and hopefully at least a little amusing came out
Don't you hate it when you meet someone at a one day class/workshop, but then promptly forget about them the second you leave, because you have the memory of a goldfish and don't actually like meeting new people? Well, this part isn't so unpleasant. Something you don't know about isn't going to harm your mental comfort.
But then you're at the grocery store or something, and they walk up to you and go, "Hey *insert your name here*!"
Your initial reaction is something similar to deer in headlights, because some random stranger has started talking to you, and you're envisioning a man in a trench coat offering you candy next to a van with painted over windows.
"How's it going? Man, it's been a while."
Then you calm down a bit, because you realize you must know them from somewhere, and you take a few unsteady breaths to dispel the adrenaline that was about to make you either run faster than superman or suddenly become paralyzed.
At this point they start talking about something funny or cool or really stupid for about a minute, but you stop listening because after the calming realization that you know them, you panic again, because you can't remember their name or where you know them from.
You rack your brain for their name at least, but when nothing is forth coming you just start listing names in your head that may go with their face.
This is usually when you realize that there's been an awkward pause in the other person's rapid speech, and you don't know what you're supposed to respond with. So you laugh, hoping it was a joke, but the other person just looks slightly offended at this and you hope against hope that she didn't just tell you about how her pet cat died.
In a desperate attempt to free yourself from this awkward situation, you pretend to check the watch you're not wearing, mumble something about being late for your shopping errand, return your shopping cart to the front, and run like a cheetah on steroids without getting any of the food you really needed.

In which rambling about lunch foods is actually useful to writing
Apparently not blogging for two months or so puts me out of practice on spewing out random things that are hilarious, interesting, snarky, or all of the above on demand. (That sentence construction was pretty awful :P)
Cause I've sat here staring at the blank spot for content for about 20 minutes now, and nothing particularly brilliant has come out of my strange brain. Or really anything at all, unless you'd like to hear about what I had for lunch (it was good. Mmmm, burritos.)
And I'm starting to get frustrated at that endlessly blinking cursor, like it's somehow to blame. And then I start yelling at the computer and threatening to beat it with a bat, cause it won't make me come up with something particularly awesome.
Then people start to give me weird looks for wanting to strangle my computer, so I decided to come up with a solution in a calmer way. After reading about half way through my really odd ramble up there I got an excellent idea. I'll talk about the infamous writer's block.
Writer's block: Does it even exist?
A lot (and I mean a lot) of people claim that writer's block doesn't exist in the first place. That it's just a figment of our imaginations. And other people swear that it's their arch nemesis.
So which is true?
I think that somewhere in the middle is right (aren't I awesome at choosing a side? :P)
Some people tend to use writer's block as an excuse for when they feel stuck, like it's an entity that is somehow stopping them.
On the flip side, it is true that we get stuck in our writing from time to time.
So, I think the truth is, is that writer's block is real, but it's something that we can get past if we work at it (so no lazy excuses people! Well, unless you feel like being lazy. But at least admit you just don't feel like writing.)
How to get past it
There are several different methods, but the way that works for me is exactly what happened in this post. I sit down, can't think of anything, and start rambling off about who knows what until I get an idea.
Which is awesome for a blog post that could actually be about what I had for lunch if I really wanted to be. But how do we get specific ideas for our stories?
As a side note
I've decided it's a bad idea for me to write a blog post at the same time as an English paper. I get all serious and start putting things in orderly thought processes and bold the headings. Heck, I make headings.
Back to writer's block (HA! I didn't put it in bold that time!)
I like to write what one of my favorite authors, Gail Carson Levine, refers to as 'notes' or 'junk'.
Notes are when you write stuff about your story. You ramble about what kind of food your character likes, their favorite color, or why they happen to hate that one teacher until you think of something you could write about in your draft.
Junk is what I was doing. You ramble about what you had for lunch, about why clown cookies scare you, why you hate having no ideas, or why gorillas look so funny (ironic, seeing as we bear a strong resemblance. Well, more of a resemblance than lizards or whatever.) Until one weird idea leads to another, and to another, and eventually it leads to something that would actually make a good story idea.
So yeah... that's my piece on writer's block. And yeah I know it sounded a lot like a school paper, but in my defense I haven't written a blog post in a long time, and I have written quite a few papers.
Rock on! Peace out! Don't kill too many stupid people! All that good stuff

Hmm. Well that went well.
You know, I've noticed an interesting pattern. Whenever I say in a post I'm going to be posting more often, I disappear for a while week month or more.
Now, I'm not going to claim I was too busy, cause there were definitely times during the last two months or more when I could've posted. And it's not like I suddenly didn't like blogging anymore either.
The truth is, it's not only the blog that kinda died for no apparent reason. My whole life kinda went 'bleh'. And I had no idea why! For the longest time I could not put my finger on why I wasn't the happiest and why I was getting so lazy with all my hobbies.
Well, about three weeks ago I figured it out (which of course was the time school decided to punch me in the stomach, pin my hands behind my back, sit on me, and laugh at my attempt to have a life).
The simplest way of putting it would to be to say I was bored, but that's not the real problem. I got lazy about life. I wanted good experiences and fun stuff to come my way all by themselves, and when they didn't (ha, life isn't that nice) I got pessimistic and thought things were hard. When in truth, I was just sitting around being a bum.
I'm not really sure what made me snap out of it, but I did. And then I yelled at myself. And then got in an argument with myself. And then I wasn't speaking to myself for a while. And then I wondered if I was insane, and decided to just get over it already.
So now I'm getting my rear back in gear, which means I'm crafting, writing, tripping over my own feet, mocking myself, making snarky comments, and most importantly for my followers, I'm blogging again. Now, notice I'm not saying I'm going to post more often, cause that never goes well. But I'm over my weird semi-mid-life/summer crisis thing I had going that was, in a word, lame.
To celebrate this, I redid the blog again. Out with the old ya know. Isn't it shiny?
On yet another note, I promise to stop being a lame follower, and read all your guys' amazing stuff again. And leave comments.
Uh, though I think this time I won't post a comment on every old post. Cause that would kinda eat my soul. And I don't think that'd be a fun experience.
Which brings me to the part I've been dreading about this post. I've decided that I follow too many blogs for me to keep up with. GAH! There's too much awesome! It's overwhelming.
So, I have to stop following some blogs. At first I thought it'd be easy 'I know! I'll just stop following the blogs that haven't updated for like 9 months'
But then I realized that wouldn't change how much ends up in my feed on a day to day basis. So, I have to stop following some really good blogs that update all the time. Erg! I don't want to do it, but if there's too much then I just get kinda scared of how much I have to read, and then I don't even get started on any of it.
Grrrr. I don't want to step on any toes, but I just can't read it all.
Hope no one gets offended or anything. Cause if I followed you in the first place, you're awesome.
Anyway! Have a virtual cookie to celebrate the revival of this curse upon sanity.
And here's some cookies that will probably eat your soul or something, cause I'm a loving, wonderful person, who never does anything even remotely evil *snickers*

Fail Phase officially OVER!
So, I thought that the past twoish weeks would be crazy, but man, I didn't see that much crazy coming. I've been away from home so much, with so much to get done, it's been madness. But things seem to finally be calming down. Which means, hey, I might actually post. Wahoo!
I've been sewing again, and writing, and I seem to finally gotten over my creative/life fail phase. So this post shall be a few of my recently finished projects.
First off I finished the mushroom. The mushroom. The gignormous mario mushroom that I've been working on for over a year now (cause man, it takes a long time to gather that much stuffing). And yes, in case you were wondering, I did do a happy dance when I finally sewed the last little part.
Yay pictures!
I also had a giant tie dye shirt laying around that I made a million years ago. Since I made a new one, I thought this one needed to become a rockin' skirt.
It was pretty simple. I just cut below the armpits of the shirt to make a long tube, and made a waste band to fit me, and sewed them together.
The tube was bigger than the waste band, so I made ruffles in the back.
It's pretty much the most comfortable skirt I own, and matches with most anything. Win.
Well, that's all the projects for right now. Hope you like 'em ^_^
--------------------------------------------------
I think this here blog needs some actual content, instead of my just rambling about how busy my life is, so I'm going to be re-thinking what the heck I'm trying to accomplish here. (and don't worry, for those of you who've said you like the random, it will be random. Just something worth while too.)
I will get back to you on that, but until then, enjoy this virtual cupcake.

Um, yeah, I tried to get a good picture to show you how big this thing is, but it didn't work too well. Serious, you could kill someone with this thing by throwing it at them. There's no way to capture that in a photo.

Yeah, so that's my most recent project.
Next up is the tie dye shirt I made. This thing is annoying. It's still leaking die in the wash! Gah! It's already ruined/booted-to-the-sewing-pile two shirts! But I still love it. It's so comfy.

*awkward silence* Apparently I'm temporarily out of witty titles.
GARG! my brain is sooo not cooperating. I've tried to write this post three times now, and it just keeps coming out emo and grouchy. Which just happens to be the EXACT opposite of what I'm trying to say. K, maybe not the exact opposite, but still. Life isn't perfectly happy* right now, but pretty close. Almost the exact opposite.
My brother's getting married! Woo! But, the wedding's in two weeks, which means I'm going to be pretty busy with that.
Also, my sister is coming from across the US to visit for this, so that just adds to the awesome. And the crazy busy.
What does this mean for you guys? I promise to blog once a week. I've tried to do it more often than that, but as you can see from the date of my last post, it didn't work. I'm still going to try to blog as often as I can, but I'm going to be crazy busy for a while. I'm really happy that it's good crazy, but still crazy.
Hmmm. Maybe I should get some guest bloggers or something...
But yeah! I promise I haven't forgotten about you, or sporadicly started hating blogging (*shudder*)
Here's to an insane two weeks! *Raises glass*
*Due to the insanity of my school schedule last year, I still have a few independent study courses. I'll still be doing school in July, which just leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. But I'm still happy!
Well, that was very ramble-y, but decidedly not emo, so we're good!

Five signs of a fantasy geek AKA why I don't have a life
Five signs of a fantasy geek
5. You lost count of the fantasy books you've read at about 200
4. You swoon at fantasy TV shows, no matter how corny
3. You check every morning to see if your ears have gone pointy yet
2. Your wedding dress is going to look like this, but in white.

1. You started taking fencing lessons.
Yes, I started fencing lessons. HOW FRIGGIN' AWESOME IS THAT?!
*cough* I am composed.
Yeah, so it pretty much rocks. I get to learn foil, eppy, and saber. It's a weekly class, and goes for like eight weeks. And if I like it (like that was a question?) I can start weekly lessons for forever.
The first class was Wednesday, and I'm already pretty sure I'm going to pwn at this (k, so I'll probably get my butt kicked more than not, but I can dream right?)
You know what's funny? Usually sports are divided boy/girl cause the boys would kill the girls cause they're typically stronger. But with fencing, it's divided boy/girl cause the girls kick the boys butt. It's because girls naturally use strategy, and guys just want to start hacking. How's that for awesome?
Also, a ton of awesome people have commented that they like my insane "theme"
Thanks guys! That took care of any lingering doubts ^_^
So what's on the forecast for tomorrow's post? I have no idea :D

In which too much awesome stabbed my blog in the face
Have you ever put something off? Even though you enjoy it?
I love to blog. It's the best. But this past week, I kept putting it off. During my quest to catch up on blog reading (more on that later) I started noticing themes in the blogs I read. Some are craft dedicated, some are inspirational, some are just plain hilarious, some are full of writing advice, and some are full of the stuff that happens to people every day. Whatever the theme was, it seems like every stinkin' blog has a theme.
Which made me very unsure about my blog all of a sudden. Cause some of you may have noticed I hop all over the place. One day, it's about my semi-inspired musings. Another day it'll be about the shirt I sewed AND how I fell down the stairs. I don't really think that what I blog about is boring or anything per say, but it's completely random. And I started to panic. Like some how I was breaking the rules and was going to fail any second if I didn't choose a theme SOON! AHH! PANIC!!!!
Which is, of course, completely ridiculous. This is my blog, and there are no rules except the ones I choose. So there weird, internal voice of mine.
After I told my panic to shut up, I did seriously think about it though. And I couldn't decide what I wanted to do. So I just didn't blog.
And I'm still kinda undecided, but I'm still going to blog in my usual random fashion until I do decide.
What do you think? Do you like my random blogging? Or should I stop switching topics so easily?
In other news, I've been trying very hard to get caught up on my blog reading. Even when I'm gone for a month, I read everything I missed, and try to comment as much as I can. Because I'm a loyal follower like that. Unfortunately, I follow a lot of blogs. And about 40% of them write a post everyday. Which makes for a lot of reading.
All this means that though I've been reading a lot all week, I'm still not caught up. Don't worry awesome people with blogs that start with a letter like S, I'm coming :P
Sorry, alphabetically is the only way I can do it without getting hopelessly confused. It doesn't mean your less awesome if I haven't read your blogs yet.
Yeah... I think that's all for now. Thanks for reading my rambles :D

*cricket cricket*
Hi... So some of you may or may not have noticed that I've been gone for a month.....
Oops.
To be fair, it wasn't all my fault. You see, I was abducted by lab rats from Somalia...
Oh who am I kidding? A funny story (*cough* homework troll *cough*) isn't enough to explain this one.
At the beginning of this month, I got pretty sick, which is weird for me. Seriously, my family can get like the plague or something, and I'll be fine. But yeah, I got sick.
Not blogging during sickness is cool right?
This next part is my fault though. I had two weeks or so where I was fine, but I had entered
The end of school insanity zone!
Still, I should have blogged. Cause I didn't have that much on my plate.
This last week was the very last week of school, and I was excited to finally have time to blog (note:end of school=no assignments whatsoever) But! I got sick again! GAH!
And this time I'm pretty sure it was the plague. For a while I couldn't even sit up.
For this last week, I plead not guilty.
But really? I should have been able to blog once this month.
*sorry face*
So this week, I shall get all caught up on reading other blogs again, cause I really have missed all you amazing people. I'll comment again. And who knows? We might actually get into some cool stuff on my blog :D
Friends? I swear I'll get back into the blogosphere.
