In which too much awesome stabbed my blog in the face

Have you ever put something off? Even though you enjoy it?

I love to blog. It's the best. But this past week, I kept putting it off. During my quest to catch up on blog reading (more on that later) I started noticing themes in the blogs I read. Some are craft dedicated, some are inspirational, some are just plain hilarious, some are full of writing advice, and some are full of the stuff that happens to people every day. Whatever the theme was, it seems like every stinkin' blog has a theme.

Which made me very unsure about my blog all of a sudden. Cause some of you may have noticed I hop all over the place. One day, it's about my semi-inspired musings. Another day it'll be about the shirt I sewed AND how I fell down the stairs. I don't really think that what I blog about is boring or anything per say, but it's completely random. And I started to panic. Like some how I was breaking the rules and was going to fail any second if I didn't choose a theme SOON! AHH! PANIC!!!!

Which is, of course, completely ridiculous. This is my blog, and there are no rules except the ones I choose. So there weird, internal voice of mine.

After I told my panic to shut up, I did seriously think about it though. And I couldn't decide what I wanted to do. So I just didn't blog.

And I'm still kinda undecided, but I'm still going to blog in my usual random fashion until I do decide.

What do you think? Do you like my random blogging? Or should I stop switching topics so easily?

In other news, I've been trying very hard to get caught up on my blog reading. Even when I'm gone for a month, I read everything I missed, and try to comment as much as I can. Because I'm a loyal follower like that. Unfortunately, I follow a lot of blogs. And about 40% of them write a post everyday. Which makes for a lot of reading.

All this means that though I've been reading a lot all week, I'm still not caught up. Don't worry awesome people with blogs that start with a letter like S, I'm coming  :P

Sorry, alphabetically is the only way I can do it without getting hopelessly confused. It doesn't mean your less awesome if I haven't read your blogs yet.

Yeah... I think that's all for now. Thanks for reading my rambles :D

  1. Love the new look. :) I've always liked Autumn.
And personally, I rather like your random blogging. I never know exactly what awaits me here, and that's part of the fun. If you only blogged about a certain theme, you'd have to cut back on the other stuff . . . it wouldn't be quite as fun.

  2. The theme of my blog is "Whatever I feel like writing that day". It's totally random. I like your blog. Keep it as it is, I say. When I first started my blog I had a particular theme in mind and I really struggled to keep things within that theme. It ended up really sucking. Less theme = less suck. That's the lesson I learned.

  3. oooo love the new theme!

And I love the randomness of your blog. Switching topics actually keeps me entertained and I feel like it lets your readers get to know you better.

  4. You said it best. "This is my blog, and there are no rules except the ones I choose". Don't feel pressured to choose anything. Only choose a theme if that idea really appeals to you. :)

  5. Well I love you're awesome switching randomnesss cause it's almost like we're talking in person. But I dunno if my opinion really counts here...? And you know you can do whatever the heck you want and I'll still love you [just don't do drugs cause I'll love you less].

  6. LS-Thanks! Autumn would be my favorite season, if it didn't lead to winter :P

Notquiteawake-Yeah, I thought about it and decided I'd have a really hard time sticking to one theme.

Sewing Pixie-Thanks! And I think you're right. Random suits my personality :P

Internet Wizard of Pure Awesomeness-First off, I love your name. Second, thanks :D

Deidra-Haha, I guess I should follow my own advice more often :P

    Rebekah-XD Hahaha, I promise I won't do drugs.

And a big thanks to everyone :D
I love getting comments, and thanks for dealing with my insecurities :P
